Bertie Bee meets Mint Holidays

Burnley Football Clubs Bertie Bee goes on a summer holiday

Mint Holidays have become the latest company to pledge their support to help inspire, support and deliver change to the neediest in the East Lancashire community, by signing up to become a Friend of Burnley FC in the Community.

Providing ATOL-protected holidays of all types, from family holidays, city breaks and cruises, both in the UK and abroad, Managing Director Steve Hall wanted to support the work of the local community in which he operates.

Steve said: “Booking holidays and cruises is a very rewarding job, as people prepare all year round for a fantastic break to enrich their lives.”

“However, we know that we have a wider responsibility to local people to help them live fuller, richer lives all year round and by supporting the Burnley FC in the Community Friends of scheme we know that we can play our part.”

“I am not necessarily a football fan, but I am a local resident and local business looking to provide a service to local people and I am more than willing to invest something back into the community.”

Mint Holidays is an independent travel agent with over 25 years of experience in providing tailored holidays with exclusive prices that can save customers money against high street prices.

Customers of late have bumped into ‘Minty Bear’, Mint Holidays official mascot who has toured the world with various satisfied customers.

It was only right, therefore, that Burnley FC’s official mascot Bertie Bee was on hand to welcome Mint Holidays as part of the Friends of Burnley FC in the Community programme.

Burnley FC in the Community Business Development Executive, Ryan Bradley said: “We are extremely grateful for the kind donation from Mint Holidays and we have already seen Steve come along and give some input into our new Military Veterans programme.”

“The Friends of programme is geared to get businesses hands on and involved with our community work, as well as supporting financially.”

“In return we can support our partner businesses in various ways, by providing volunteer opportunities for staff, B2B or B2C marketing campaigns and regular PR and community engagement opportunities.”

“We look forward to working with Mint Holidays throughout the 2017/18 season and beyond!”
